Hi, I’m Jake - wedding filmmaker, runner, dog lover and tea drinker. Happiest with my camera in hand.
Before I started filming weddings, I worked in film & TV as a visual effects artist, contributing to the CGI for Hollywood films and high-end TV shows. This taught me a lot about light and composition, attention to detail, and gave me a passion for visual storytelling. I filmed my first wedding for a close family member, and that’s when I realised how much I enjoyed capturing genuine moments - people being themselves on one of the biggest days of their lives.
Weddings gave me the chance to tell real stories. Not scripted or staged - just honest, fun, emotional days full of what matters most - family, friends, laughter, nerves, tears of joy, dancing, and everything in between.
My approach
I keep things low-key, natural and documentary-led.
No awkward posing or big setups - just capturing the day as it really feels.
My goal is to blend in so you and your guests barely notice the camera. I keep a low profile throughout the day so everyone can just be themselves. The more relaxed the day feels, the better the story becomes.
I’m drawn to countryside venues, barns, outdoor spaces and weddings with a calm, unfussy energy. Days where people can just be themselves, enjoy the moment, and let things unfold naturally.
Why I film weddings
Every wedding has its own pace, its own characters and its own rhythm.
The nerves in the morning, the quiet moments people don’t see, the laughter, the atmosphere, the dancing - it all builds a story worth keeping.
And I feel lucky that I get to document that.
